Yacoubi: Calls for the launch of community initiatives and support for volunteerism

The religious authority his eminence Sheikh Mohammed Al-Yacoubi urged to adopt community initiatives and support voluntary services in light of the apparent failure and inability of the government to carry out its obligations towards institutions whose ,i.e., to provide the necessary needs of citizens such as health, education, municipal services …etc . Such services should be provided duly since they represent  daily life needs of citizens .

This came in a meeting with the delegations formed by a number of school administrations from all over Najaf province, which came to the office of his eminence Sheikh Al-Yacoubi , thanking him for the care he gave to schools by giving directions to reconstruct and restore schools ,  and to provide the necessary needs and requirements  to sustain the pace of education in the province.

During the meeting, His Eminence called upon the people of our dear country to work hand in hand and unite on the individual and collective levels (in the form of institutions, organizations, associations and others) and to contribute to spread the culture of  ( Everybody is Responsible ) . He , also , called people to help each other and carry out service activities of various kinds to alleviate citizens’ burdens without waiting for the governmental support which has  Proved its inability and failure.

On the other hand , His Eminence warned against  inaction and indifference to the sufferings of people ; he emphasized on alleviating the burdens of people sparing no efforts in this respect  by following  various means to fulfill this obligation . Neglecting people needs and sufferings  will lead to the absence of conscience and community consciousness and ; thus , making us , God forbid , morally  dead people .

Finally , his eminence launched several initiatives which are as diverse as the needs of the society and subject to the variables of events . These initiatives  include :

1 – “ A call for the revival of the library of the University of Mosul and the central library in Mosul “ .

2 – “ Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the Smile of a School Student “ to print and distribute textbooks to students , and to  reconstruct and supply schools with necessary requirements and equipments .
